Hiking at the Cliffs of Étretat

Attention, this hike is not suitable for elderly people or young children as it is a long walk with many areas without safety barriers.

1) It is best to leave in the morning (arriving around 10 AM on site is ideal) and park at the Parking des Trois Menhirs (free).

2) Walk down the Valleuse d'Antifer (about 20 minutes of walking) to admire the splendid cliffs from below. Be careful of falling rocks, as there have been some landslides in recent years.

3) Return on your steps to find the hiking path towards the Falaise d'Aval. Expect about 1 to 1.5 hours of walking to enjoy the beautiful scenery at a leisurely pace.

4) Once you arrive in Étretat, take the time to have a break with a good meal or an ice cream.

5) Well-rested, if you still have time, climb to the Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde to admire the view from the Falaise d'Amont and stroll through the Gardens of Étretat.

6) The return to the parking lot will be through the countryside (about 45 minutes of walking).
